My Priorities

The diversity of Montgomery County is our greatest strength.  This administration has challenged our community through a loss of Federal jobs, ICE abductions of our neighbors, and threats to voter rights.  The administration’s actions are causing collective fear, intimidation, and daily stress.  As a physician and public health leader, I know that ongoing stress and worry is not good for our public health.   After a career in uniformed service, I am running for MCDCC At Large to ensure our community’s collective voices are heard and prioritized within the Democratic Party.

  • Health Equity

Physical and Mental health wellness comes from stable housing, food security, a safe community, and access to health care.  I will advocate for affordable health care  in Maryland and I will support actions that will strengthen the health of our community.

  • Free and Fair Elections

Democracy takes work and it includes organizing and ensuring that everyone understands the importance of their voice, registers to vote, and votes in Primary elections.  This is where candidates that represent the values of our community get an opportunity to advance to the midterm and general elections.

To vote requires a sense of safety, privacy, and freedom without outside interference or intimidation.  These principles are ones that I will work on everyday as an At Large Member of the MCDCC

  • Democratic Principles

As a member of the Democratic Central Committee, I will TAKE ACTION by advocating to the party on the importance of accountability, integrity, inclusiveness, and will work to bring in members of our community to participate in ensuring our democratic principles are shared, valued, and sustained.
